Eco Web Mobile is an optional module in Eco Time. It is a small web server that is linked to Eco Time which allows your roaming employees to clock using their smart device.
In order to enable an employee to clock on the mobile application, there are a few steps that need to be followed as a once off.
Enable the employee for mobile clocking in the User Module.
1. Open the Browse Employees window
2. Select the employee and click on Change. The Update Employee window will open.
3. Select the Personal option and enter the employee mobile phone number.
4. Select the Mobile option and tick "Allow Use of Eco Time Mobile Application".
Download the Application
Apple (IOS) Users:
Access the Eco Time Mobile site via https://online.eco-time.com
Launch "Safari" app. This does not work from the "Chrome" app.
Enter into the "search or enter website name" field the URL of the website you want to create a shortcut to. Tap "Go".
At the bottom of the screen tap on the menu send to options icon (middle icon) and scroll up with you finger till you see "Add to Home screen". Tap on the text.
The Add to Home dialog box will appear, with the Eco Time E logo, online.eco-time.com url, "Cancel" top left and "Add" top right. Tap on the "Add" text.
The Eco Time Shortcut will have been placed on the phone's home screen and can be indentified by Eco Time's E Logo.
Safari will close automatically and you will be taken to where the icon is located on your iPad's desktop / phone home screen.
Android Users:
Access the Eco Time Mobile site via https://online.eco-time.com
Launch "Chrome" app.
Open the website or web page https://online.eco-time.com to pin to your home screen.
A popup dialog will appear on the screen requesting you to "Add Eco Time Mobile to Home screen". Tap on the text or Eco Time logo.
...........if the popup does not appear...........
Tap the menu icon (3 dots in upper right-hand corner) and tap "Install App".
A popup appears asking you to install the app. Click on "Install".
After the install has been completed, you will receive a phone Chrome notification that Eco Time Mobile was "Added to Home screen"
The Eco Time Shortcut will have been placed on the phone's home screen and can be identified by the Eco Time's E Logo.
Setup the Application
1. Once the application or site is loaded, click on settings to configure the mobile number to be used on this device.
2. Enter the employee’s cell phone number in the Phone Number field
3. Click the save button to return to the main menu

Clocking In and Out
Clocking IN or OUT is as simple as clicking the relevant directional option from the main menu.
Viewing Clocking History
Should the employee wish to view their historical clockings, click on the Clockings option and select the relevant date of viewing.
Viewing Current Clocking Direction
On the top right of Eco Time Mobile's menu bar, is either a red left arrow, or a green right arrow:
The red left arrow indicates your current clocking status is OUT.
The green right arrow indicates your current clocking status is IN.
View and Apply for Leave
1. Click on the Leave option from the main menu.
2. Select the relevant leave option from the sub menu.
Sick Leave: Enter the date as well as a comment (optional) and click Save.
Leave Request: Enter the Leave type, Requested dates as well as a comment (optional) and click save.
View Upcoming Leave: Historical and Furture leave entries can be viewed.
Mobile device upload and synchronization process
When the mobile app is opened, a full sync is performed within three seconds.
A full sync is when clockings, employee settings, leave and leave types are updated from and to the mobile sync server.
A full sync is also performed at ten minute intervals - if the app is open.
A mobile user can force a full sync at anytime by mouse clicking or touch pressing on the last sync information text at the bottom of the buttons. The text looks something like this: "Last Sync: MAR 11,2022 17:14"
When a full sync is in progress, the last sync information text at the bottom of the buttons shows "Sync in Progress".
A mobile leave application or clocking entry is uploaded to the mobile sync server within 3 seconds on condition the mobile device has an internet connection.
Eco Time's mobile sync server client uploads and downloads the latest relevant Eco Time information to and from the mobile sync server with 5 minute intervals.
Eco Time's mobile sync server client must have an internet connection to upload and download changes.
A mobile user would therefore expect to have their clockings collected and viewable in Eco Time, within five minutes of the mobile clocking event.
