The Leave Module is an application designed as an extension to the TNA Time and Attendance Management System.
Its primary purpose is to calculate leave balances that are due to employees.
The look and feel of the Leave Module is very similar to TNA; therefore navigating through it should not be a problem for a TNA user.
One of the big differences is that Leave does not have a custom collection.
Putting an employee on leave, that will inadvertently affect the balances of Leave Cycles, is not covered in this manual.
Leave can be added in both TNA and the Leave Module.
Leave balances are determined by:
The Leave Cycle rules defined in the Leave Module
The amount of days/hours specified when adding a leave record in TNA or the Leave Module
The manually entered start balance (if applicable)
It is important to make a distinction between Leave Types and Leave Cycles:
Leave Types are the different types of leave an employee may take. Examples: Annual, Study, etc.
These leave types are setup in TNA. When adding a leave record for an employee, you must specify the leave type.
Leave Cycles are a set of rules that defines how to calculate the “Leave Due”.
Leave Cycles are only setup for leave types that you want to see a balance for.
Note: The Leave Module is a separate application to TNA and therefore requires a unique activation code.
It uses the TNA login and password.
